Our main directive was to create a living space where this family could spend quality time together while also having multiple activity zones. For example, cooking in the kitchen, doing homework at the island or practicing piano adjacent to the kitchen all at the same time. Our focus turned to the heart of the home, the kitchen, and we designed the activities to surround this central hub. The open concept floor plan and long angular sight lines across rooms are key in achieving the interconnected feel. A large central island, walk-in butler pantry provides a transition from the utility space of the home to the stunning kitchen that is continually flooded with light from large windows out the rear of the home.
